Safest Feed Ingredients on the Market
PURETEIN™ products are manufactured with the highest purification protocols available worldwide. Our purification processes are adapted from those used by NASA, and by hospitals and laboratories for transfusion products and xenotransplantation. We take great pride in creating products that are sustainable and cost-effective, that have improved the quality of animal health through nutrition. We will continue ensuring we use the best available technology, establishing best practices for the safety and efficacy of our products.
Processing & Production
Throughout processing and production, we repeatedly test and verify the purity and safety of our products. Our process purifies and reduces viral and bacterial contamination with a three-step process during manufacturing. This includes nano-filtration, heating, drying, and phytosanitary pasteurization.
In addition to our own internal testing, every production lot’s purity is tested and verified through independent laboratories and University veterinary diagnostic laboratories for over a dozen different viral and bacterial pathogens. Our products are only released for sale when all test results are negative for these pathogens. We are happy to share more about our safety standards, testing, and test results by request.
celluTEIN® is verified free of tested pathogens. Conversely independent research has shown that many feed ingredients are at risk¹ ².
We don’t want you to bet the farm on feed safety!
PURETEIN™ Commitment
We will continue to lead with transparency and integrity toward safer food and feed ingredients, using best available manufacturing practices and product safety standards; continuing to ensure the safety and efficacy of our products through independent data and research, as well as top industry certifications.
Certifications
PURETEIN™ product and facility certifications play an important role in our process. These exemplify our commitment to the quality, safety, and efficacy of our products through quality assurance results and certifications from universally recognized arbitrators for facility and food safety assurance. We currently hold three certifications including HAACP, FAMI-QS, and GMP.
The HACCP system has grown to be the universally recognized and accepted method for food safety assurance. This certification confirms our commitment to product safety, through every step in production.
GMP certifications confirm all facility sanitation, cleanliness, and process validation standards. Lastly, RUPP certifications demonstrate our compliance with the Food and Drug Administration’s feed rule prohibiting the use of restricted proteins intended for use in ruminant feeds, enhancing consumer confidence in feed and food supply.
